AMAZING. I read tons of books and this is one of the best, most genuine love stories I have ever come across. It captures the feelings of a first love to perfection, and the journey Paige takes made me instantly connect with her as a reader. I was right there with her through the good and bad! The writing flows, and I'm so glad I found this author. I don't usually have time to leave reviews but this book NEEDED one it was so great. And, as an aside, I totally LOVED Pickles!! he was soo cute and adorable. I have never felt so attached to a character, I didn't want the story to end! A MUST read!

I bought this book in 2013.....5 years later still waiting for the next installment.
I thought this book was absolutely amazing. Scarlett Edwards is now one of my all time favorite authors! There were so many feelings that I felt while reading, all the while rooting for Paige the entire book. She has such a unique story, and to know that it was inspired by true events, and the author was brave enough to share... it was amazing.

I really loved Katy at the best friend, too. She is the friend every quiet girl needs to break out of her shell. Perfect book! 5 huge stars!
I don't like to give away any spoilers so this review is strictly my opinion. My opinion is simple.....this book is so good. I love all her books but this one is by far my favorite. Amazing book by an amazing author. I read a lot. Several books a week and this is the best book I've read in months. Can't wait for the next one or any others by this author. She is kick ass so check her out!
Not the usual dark story from this author. I really like Spencer and all the different sides to him. Why is he still in college? What transpired between Andrew and him when they lived together briefly? I have more questions. You can't stop here.
Ok so this book had its ups and downs. I love the story line. But Paige can be slightly annoying. Her relationship with Andrew seemed lame because it lasted for like a day. There was no need for the drama. Her and Spencer I liked because they got to know each other. Even though she was very immature and again annoying. But I guess I can't really say that considering they tell you she was very sheltered. They also say she had a tough life but never go into detail about what. And the story that was shared didn't seem like something that could truly scar you. That's just my opinion
This was a very entertaining read where the side characters were just as interesting as the main characters. There was some angst in the story between the characters and this always makes the romance scenes better at least for me. There is enough left unknown at the end that makes you want to get the next book but not so much that your left hanging out on the ledge just waiting. This seems to be a new author and I think as more writing is done by her the more polished and detailed her books will become, making them even better. I glad to have stumbled upon her and look forward to more of her books.
I liked this story in general, but it covers familiar ground. Paige is a likeable character as far as innocent college girls go. She has some realistic reactions to new experiences, but I didn't think her sheltered/All Girls' School upbringing was enough to explain her terror over intimacy. I'd hope the next one will dig into that a little bit. Andrew was a pretty generic nice guy that you know right away can't compete in this sort of story. And Spencer is the predictable bad boy. One-night stands, tattoos, motorcyle, musician all the usual stuff-so you know how it will turn out. The tense relationship between the guys is only explained from Andrew's side, so I'd expect more answers in the next installment. The cliffhanger is very minor, and by the time it comes around, there isn't anything suprising anyway. I don't feel like I need to read the next one to guess what happens.

The writing is pretty smooth. It is in that urgent first-person present POV, which sometimes can be awkward when Paige wants to describe herself. And the writer seems confused about the difference between a dorm and an apartment which makes Paige's living situation worries stand out in an odd way.

I would read this writer again when I want something easy, predictable, and not too deep.
