Where to begin with this book? I felt like I needed time to regain my composure, a stiff drink and a cigarette, lol. Kendall Grey rocked this story!!

So Beats the second book in HRH in my opinion was even better than the first. I think we got an even deeper look into the characters with Toombs, Jinx and Rax then we did with Letty and Shades and I loved it!

The dynamics and the relationships in Beats are intense, the rock is badder, the sex is harder and the love is even stronger.

Jinx is not only struggling with finding herself but also struggling with finding her place; in the band, in life, in her family and with Toombs. She gets sucked into the world of Toombs and Rax and hell if its not a scary yet exhilarating and pleasurable ride ;). We get to see a side of Toombs we never have before as he struggles with making room in his heart for the two people he loves the most and Rax, well one can only hope that there is some sort of karma with a side of redemption in his future but boy is he still sexy.

The emotions that flow off these characters are incredible and "hot damn" so are the kinky, intoxicating, smexy scenes. I think I had to fan myself a few times and dab some sweat of my brow!

Kendall Grey did us proud and nailed Beats, if you like intense, outside the box characters, hot as hell sex scenes that you probably haven't imagined in your wildest fantasies, comedy, sarcasm and a whole lot of bada$$ then this is the book for you.

Oh my gosh what is not to say here. This book was so worth the wait and more....starting with that amazing warning! I love these warnings Kendall gives for Strings & Beats they really do apply.
I completely fell in love with all the characters all over again. Toombs *gush* and Jinx I love her. I am so happy this book continued with their story while mixing in a little bit (well a lot really) of Rax. I really am excited for the next one. I'm putting it out there right now girl.....GET WRITING and for those who haven't read Strings or Beats yet....GET READING!! Get ready for some excitement, sadness, fear, love, wetness, and maybe some squirting if your lucky! ;)

I didn't think Kendall could get any better...I stand corrected! Jinx, the quiet drummer, and Toombs, the mysterious drummer/guitarist, grabbed my attention in Strings. It was nothing compared to this! This book was both hot and sexy with heartbreaking and swoonworthy. Does that make sense?

I mean, I knew it was bound to be hot because it's a Kendall book;) But I didn't expect to be moved by this storyline like I was.

Not only was this a story of Jinx and her overwhelming crush on Toombs, but it's a story of letting go. Toombs might have really strong feelings for Jinx, but he also has strong feelings for someone else...his best friend, Rax. They have had this unbreakable relationship since childhood that has led to something much more. Jinx must find a way to compete-and win- against Rax. Even if it means sharing the one thing that binds them.

"Toombs is forbidden fruit. Which makes me want him more."

This book had some of the HOTTEST scenes I have ever read! Lawd!! *Grabs a fan and towel* I mean the three of them...wowza!!! I have to say that Kendall knows how to write a sex scene. You could picture every single move, touch, kiss...everything!

"Staring at Toombs with Rax hanging on my side, I come to terms with what my heart wants versus what my body craves. I'm done agonizing over this. A switch engages with a tight little click, and the decision is made. God help me. I'm going to have sex with them. Together. Well, maybe."

I have to say that my favorite part of this book is the change that Toombs, Jinx and Rax take on. It's like they are working together and against each other at the same time. A push to bring them together and a pull that takes them apart.

"I'm in love with one of these men and in lust with the other. Unfortunately, I can't have Toombs withot Rax."

Being the big music buff that I am, I really enjoyed how much Toombs helped Jinx get her mojo back on the drums. It was sexy and sweet and I wished I was sitting on that stool with him..."Our beats become one. Heart beats. Drum beats. Sex beats."

This story had so many layers that made me fall more and more in love with these characters! The dynamics between them all was insane! So much happens in so little time! I wanted more of them!

"But you didn't satisfy me, Jinx. You freaking haunted me."

Again, Kendall grabbed me from start to finish! I will admit, I teared up a bit in some parts because it was so raw to me! So emotional. Well done!
